Rocket German is an on line German learning program. Does it really work?
WHAT ARE THE COMPONENTS OF THE SYSTEM?
Rocket German is a software system for download or as a set of CDs. Inside you will find audio recordings, special software games, videos, and more. In addition, you get access to the "Learning Lounge" where you can test your progress, and connect with other users and instructors.
The idea is to teach German by a system known as Visual Association. Visual association is the way you learned to speak your native language. You HEARD a word and SAW its meaning at the same time. In this way you effortlessly and swiftly learned the meanings of words. Rocket German attempts to duplicate the process with the use of video, audio, and software.
DOES IT REALLY WORK?
Rocket German is powerful, IF you can commit to working with the system regularly. Ideally, you should attempt to view the material for some time everyday (30min to 1hr at least). The individual lessons are engineered to build on one another. Therefore, being consistent is crucial.
Picking up a new language is alot like learning to ride a bike. For the first little while you may think that you aren't getting anywhere. If you keep going, however, you will hit a point where things suddenly come together. You will find yourself making sentences without effort and hearing most of the words in the audio recordings.
Then you can proceed to learning more advanced vocabulary and grammar.
IS ROCKET GERMAN A GOOD FIT FOR EVERYONE?
Some people find it difficult to focus if there is no outside pressure like an upcoming "exam" or a teacher checking their "homework".
Rocket German is a do it yourself approach. It is very powerful but you have to provide the consistency yourself.
If you feel you might need the pressure of a classroom setting in order to follow through, consider classes at a local college. Keep in mind that classroom instruction will cost more and can take longer.
If you are sincere about pick up German and are ready to put aside a little time daily, Rocket German can have you speaking German in a couple of months.

The linebacking corps and secondary is great on that team, and with even an average offense, that team could win some games. Steve Largent was an awesome receiver, but overall I say team A wins with their defense.
I don't know how you came up with these teams, but they are interesting.
